Field Trips

Yesterday I went on a good standing field trip for my school. I felt a little nauseous during the trip ,but not like I used to before my surgery. I am glad I had the surgery because since then I have had one tournament and three field trips. If I wouldn't have had the sugary then I would've been miserable for all of those things. I have still not thrown up since the surgery (well I did throw up yesterday but it doesn't count because I was just over heated).

Back to volleyball

Today was my first day back to volleyball after my surgery. I didn't get to go to club volleyball practice on Monday because I was in so much pain. Yesterday I went to the doctor for my Post-Op and he cleared me to play but he said that it will hurt a lot when I go back. I was super nervous all day before practice because I knew that it was going to hurt.

So, I got to practice and in the first ten minutes I was already in a lot of pain. I hadn't even done anything other than the basic stuff yet. When I did start actually playing it hurt so much. My friends asked me if I was okay and I said I was okay...and that was a lie. I just love playing volleyball so much so it bothers me and makes me really mad and sad that doing something I love leaves me in so much pain afterwards. I didn't do anything that I knew would hurt me at practice like I didn't dive but I did attempt to spike the ball but it didn't work out very well.

When I got home after practice I was in so much pain. I sat in the bathroom for about an hour because I felt so nauseous. The upside is that I still have not thrown up since my surgery. I am going to club ball practice tomorrow and that makes me super duper nervous because I was in so much pain today when I didn't even really play hard. So, I know tomorrow I am going to have to play really hard not quite full out but I know I will have to run a lot.  I am excited to go back to volleyball because I love to play so much.

Back to School

Today is the first day I am going back to school after my surgery. This morning I woke up and I don't feel good at all. I am going to school anyways because that is what I am supposed to do. Also, I will be going to practice after school for two hours (if my mom lets me go).

The pain in my ribs is still very bad, and it was hard to put on a bra this morning because of the pressure it put on me.  I was planning on wearing jeans, but I quickly changed my mind and switched to athletic pants since my incisions are still a bit tender.  My mom made me empty most of my book bag so that it doesn't weigh its normal 40 pounds.

Hopefully it will be a good day.....I haven't vomited since my surgery.  Yay!

Update:  I was very sore, but my day went fine.....except for all the excessive farting! At least the gas from the surgery is finally leaving my body.  I was hoping no one would notice and if they did, they would blame someone else. But, anyone reading this will know the truth.

Second Surgery

Today I had my second endometrial ablation.  What a way to spend my Spring Break!

Here's a video that shows what I was feeling before the surgery....

This is always my favorite part (seriously)!

Here is the text my mom sent out after my surgery...
Out of surgery and talked to doc.

They found and removed several places of endometriosis.  It was mostly under the uterus and near the rectum.  He removed all he could (said it was a little more than last time).  He did say her ovaries, Fallopian tubes, and uterus looked very healthy, so that is good.
He told me that during surgery he told the people in there with him, "I delivered this girl, and I am going to take care of her."
He is hoping this will give her some relief but said that he did not find anything up under her left ribs where her intense pain is.  He hopes that pain will go away if the vomiting stops...but the only way to investigate that area further is to open her up (which he obviously doesn't want to do).
He also said that if this doesn't make a difference then he would get on the phone with the insurance company and argue until he is blue in the face to get the meds they are denying her.

And finally....I will share a bit of a "drunk" video...
